Costa Daurada

The Priorat is less than an hour away from the beautiful beaches of the Costa Daurada, across the mountains of Pradell-l'Argentera and Llaberia, which separate the coast from the interior. Well-connected with Reus airport, the gateway for thousands of visitors to the Costa Daurada, and little more than an hour from Barcelona.

Costa Daurada

Good reasons to visit all year round

The Costa Daurada's Mediterranean climate allows you to enjoy outdoor activities practically all year round, whether on the plain, in the mountains or on the beach.

It has lots of protected natural areas that are fantastic for walking, mountain biking and climbing. Highlights include the Montsant nature park, the Prades mountains and the Llaberia mountains in the Baix Camp and Priorat, and the Poblet protected area in Conca de Barberà.

Its long beaches with fine sand and shallow water and its small coves are ideal for kids. More than sixty kilometres of coastline and sixty beaches to choose from...

Families can find all kinds of things to do to have a great time. Because the Costa Daurada is a certified family holiday destination. The Trip&Kids web app offers personalised activities for families and fun things to do to discover every corner of this holiday destination.

The Costa Daurada is proud to boast five pieces of UNESCO World Heritage: Roman Tarraco, the Cistercian monastery of Poblet, the tradition of human towers, drystone constructions and the rock art of the Mediterranean basin, of which some of the most outstanding examples are in Capçanes, in the Priorat.

The diversity of the Costa Daurada makes it a unique place to make wine and a paradise for wine lovers. This unique diversity means it takes in as many as seven designations of origin: the DOQ Priorat, DO Montsant, DO Conca de Barberà, DO Penedès, DO Tarragona, DO Catalunya and DO Cava. A host of wineries to visit, from small family operations to cooperatives, some of them boasting cutting-edge architecture and others in classic Art Nouveau style - the latter known as "cathedrals of wine" - dotted all around the Costa Daurada, from Priorat to Conca de Barberà, as well as the Alt Camp.

But the Costa Daurada is also synonymous with quality olive oil. The Siurana designation of origin is the seal guaranteeing the extraordinary quality of the extra virgin olive oils made here, oils that enrich the finest gastronomy. Oil mills and visitor centres allow visitors to find out just how this liquid gold is made.

The Costa Daurada offers you an incredible range of things to do, eat and drink of the highest quality. From the mountains to the sea, the Costa Daurada is the holiday destination for you!!!
