Clos Berenguer
This family winery, founded in 1999, makes wine from grapes grown on the old vines of their own estate in El Molar. There are two buildings; one where the wine is blended and part of the wine-making process takes place, and a second building alongside where there is an office, the cellars where the aging of the wine takes place in barrels, and a small room for wine tasting, converted from a disused manganese mine.

- The DOC Priorat or wine appellation The DOQ Priorat covers a small region of fewer than 20,000 hectares, of which only 1,600 hectares are planted with vines. The landscape is abrupt and challenging, or in the words of the Catalan writer, Josep Pla, ‘cataclismatic’. Working the vineyards is a complicated, demanding and costly undertaking, and the vines produce very little compared to those of other wine regions.
