Second phase completed in the clearing of the old pack-horse trails for Walkers

Priorat County Council in the Tourism development Plan has completed the second phase of the project to clear and sign the old pack-horse trails of the region for use by walkers.
During 2009 the following paths have been cleared and marked:
- Old path between Bellmunt and Gratallops
- Carnes path between Falset and Bellmunt
- Pedrenyeres i dels Arcs path between Marçà and Capçanes.
- Vilella Alta to Consolació hermitage.
- Grau de la Bisbal de Falset path.
- Old path between La Figuera and Cabacés.
- Els Masos d'en Cubells path of Porrera.
These paths, cleared in early 2009, have recently been marked with signposts. The signposts include a new logo of the Priorat Paths Network.
The aim in clearing these paths is to invite visitors to discover the vineyards, the olive groves and the natural heritage of the Priorat.
The County Council would like as many villages as possible to participate in this iniciative.
