Celler Cecilio is a family firm dedicated to the making of wines since 1942 and founded by the father of the present owner. Within its walls, one can appreciate the charm and spirit of more than 60 years of uninterrupted wine making. Celler Cecilio was the first winery to register with the Regulatory Body of the DOQ Priorat

Fantastico todo, el paseo, el propietario es un hombre encantador!!! te hce sentir fantasticamente, es un Celler grande, pero lo tienen bien enfocado al turiso...repito el vino estupendo...pero el vermut es también increible.

És un celler familiar i acollidor. La visita agradabilíssima, són gent molt simpàtica. No cobren res i la primera frase en acabar la visita va ser "no us veieu obligats a comprar res". Evidentment vam comprar i bastant. 100% recomanable.

Els vins d'aquest celler ens van agradar molt, i el tracte del Sr. August encara més. L'Espill del 2005, amb un gust molt arrelat a la terra de llicorella i el 2004 més refinat, i amb un blanc jove que hi canten els àngels. Altament recomanable la visita i els vins. 25-08-2010

Fa uns quants anys que vam descobrir el territori del Priorat i cada any hi tornem. L'August sempre s'ha mostrat molt agradable i hem rigut amb les seves bromes. El vi és boníssim i el paisatge fantàstic. ALTAMENT RECOMANABLE!!!

Crec que aquest celler és visita obligada si es va al priorat. Vam estar dissabte amb l'August i unes altres parelles que visitaven el celler. Va ser genial, fantàstic en tots els aspectes (tant les explicacions de l'August, com el tast, ja que el vi és boníssim).

Estem molt agraïts a l'August, doncs apart la qualitat, amb les seves amables explicacions ens va ajudar a entendre i estimar una mica més el vi del Priorat.

Celler familiar i molt acollidor. Absolutament genial, 100% recomanable. L'August és una persona amb un gran sentit de l'humor i una professionalitat que et fan sentir-te com a casa. Tant les seves explicacions com el tast van ser fantàstics, ens ho vam passar molt bé. I el vi és d'una gran qualitat. Una manera molt interessant de conèixer El Priorat.

Hemos pasado una mañana fantastico con August y desde luego lo voy a recomendar. Cabe destacar el vino L'Espill del 2006 que es uno de los mejores vinos que he probado.

Hem estat gaudint de la vostra comarca aquests dies i dir-vos que hem estat passejant i parlant amb algunes persones dels diferents pobles. Hem après molt i considero que encara teniu molt molt per a ensenyar a la resta de catalans i al món sencer!!!. Ens han atès molt molt bé a tots els llocs on hem estat, des de l'allotjament al Portal del priorat, a La Morera; fins a la Catedral del Vi a Falset o a les Mines de Bellmunt on el noi que ens va fer de guia mereix un deu... ho va fer molt molt bé!!! També hem menjat molt molt bé a Porrera, a Cal Carlets; al Piró de Gratallops, i al Celler de l'Aspic a Falset... molt molt ben atesos i un menjar i uns vins de la màxima qualitat!!!. I què dir-ne dels cellers que hem visitat: el Cecilio de Gratallops, les Cooperatives de Falset-Marça, el Celler el Mas Roig, .. i els olis de Cabacés, amb la Neus venent a Escaladei, que per cert també un racó ben maco i amb una visita guiada molt completa i molt ben atesos... Que res! teniu una comarca de les millors del món!!! Visca el Priorat i els i les prioratines!!!

Ha sigut genial arribar al Priorat i trobar-nos a algú com el Sr. August. Ens ha fet riure, vibrar i entendre una mica més la complexitat del que hi ha darrere una ampolla de vi. Gràcies per fer-ho tant amè i divertit alhora... sobretot: no marxeu d'allà sense un dels seus grans vins, val la pena! Gràcies August.

The DOC Priorat or wine appellation The DOQ Priorat covers a small region of fewer than 20,000 hectares, of which only 1,600 hectares are planted with vines. The landscape is abrupt and challenging, or in the words of the Catalan writer, Josep Pla, ‘cataclismatic’. Working the vineyards is a complicated, demanding and costly undertaking, and the vines produce very little compared to those of other wine regions.
