Celler l'Encastell

Celler de l’Encastell is a small family winery founded in 1999, producing only the wine from the 7 hectares which are worked by the family. At an altitude of 500m on the steeply sloped vineyards of the estate, Mas d’en Caçador, the Grenache and Carignan vines are between sixty and ninety years old. They produce between 300g and 500g per vine. Two wines are produced by the family: Roquers de Porrera made from very old vines of Grenache and Carignan, aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, and Marge, with Grenache, Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah, aged for 8 months in barrels of French and American oak.
