Location

Hamlet to be found in the North-eastern corner of the county, between the Montsant and the Prades mountain ranges.

How to get there

Albarca can be reached by passing through Cornudella de Montsant from Falset along the N-420 as far as "Coll de la Teixeta" and then via the TP_7401 towards Porrera. Just before entering the village take C-242 through Cornudella. From Reus via N-420 until Borges del Camp and then via C-242 towards Ulldemolins, and from La Granadella via C-242, trhough Ulldemolins.

Installations

The village has a mountain shelter and rural lodgings.

Festivals

The "Fiesta Mayor" takes place on 15th August. The last day of the "fiesta" sees the traditional procession to the hermitage of the Mare de Déu de Montsant.

Places of interest

This village is practically deserted and preserves all its old charm. There is a beautiful Romanesque church and various walking routes leading from the village on to the Montsant mountain range.
