This winery was founded in 1995 by Josep Maria Fuentes, who revived old vineyards, mostly grenache and carignan, to make the wine Cran Clos. Production of this wine has grown in recent years, as has the number of plots the family owns and its range of wines: Finca el Puig and the white Vinya Llisarda (now called Gran Clos Blanc). In 2007 the first vintage of Cartus came on the market for exclusive clients only, a wine based on red grenache from two century-old vineyards, complemented with carignan. From the 2005 harvest onwards, a more basic line of wines came onto the market, made from grapes from the Finca el Puig plot, but after a second selection. These are the wines Les Mines and Solluna.
