Sui Generis

Sui Generis are three wine growers who in 2004 embarked on the adventure of making Montsant wines. They practise environment-friendly farming, traditional wine growing without herbicides and using as few pesticides as possible depending on the climate of each year.

The poor fertility of this clay and limestone soil forces the vines to seek moisture underground, but the effort involved in this is well rewarded by the resulting quality, because they yield great wine. The varieties grown are the most traditional, primarily carignan and grenache.
