Discover the culture of olive oil

Enjoy a unique oil tourism experience in La Bisbal de Montsant, a captivating journey to discover the culture of olive oil. The visit begins with a stroll around the picturesque village, stopping off at one of its former oil mills, fully restored and living on between the winding streets like a well-kept secret. There you can find out how the oil-making process worked in times gone by.

Second stop is the Starlight viewpoint, which offers magical, fascinating views of the landscape of olive trees that surrounds the village.

Come and taste first-pressing olive oil in Ulldemolins!

Come and discover La Llena olive oil in Ulldemolins at the first Catalan cooperative to make organic oil. Celebrate the arrival of this year's olive oil with us in an oil tourism experience that includes visiting the mill, finding out about how oil is made and tasting the first-pressing oil while you enjoy a breakfast with local produce and one of the Cooperative's wines.

Ton the miller themed visit (Marçà oil mill)

Would you like to have fun and try something different from the typical tour of an oil mill?

Here's a different way of trying olive oil tourism. Ton, a former miller of Marçà, takes you through the history of the old premises of the Marçà oil mill and shows you how oil production has developed over the years with a contrasting visit to the new La Mola mill.

The activity is rounded off with an introduction to oil tasting, explaining the different types of olive oil that exist and comparing their flavour.

From tree to table

From the tree to the table: visit the olive trees and follow the whole process of producing the oil, with a tasting at the end.

Come and discover our members' Arbequina olive groves. We'll show you how the farmers work their land, what olive varieties are grown in the Priorat and what the differences between them are.

Weather permitting, you can take part in picking the olives.

Naturally, all this is accompanied by a country breakfast: bread with tomato, cured meats and a porró - a traditional flask of wine!
