This small winery, founded in 2004, is located in a country house built in 1986. Everything has been done to ensure that the work of wine-making, aging and bottling is carried out carefully, using artisan methods and grapes from the family vineyards. There are 7 hectares of vines in three different locations all close to the winery, at an altitude of 600m. The views of the region are exceptional.

In 1978, husband and wife team Sangenís and Vaqué began to plant vines on their land within the boundaries of Porrera. Since 1700 or earlier, these lands belonged to the maternal branch of the family and were mainly used for vines. In 1979, the owners began making wine in the old cellar of Josep Simó, grandfather of the owner, who had made and sold wine from 1886 until his death. Today in this winery his traditional wines are still produced, though new trends have also been incorporated.

Since 1910, this small family cellar has produced traditional artisan wines. Recently, the winery has adopted new techniques of fermentation and the aging of the wine in barrels of French and Hungarian oak. The vineyards of the winery, La Plantadeta and Mas d’en Bernat, are found at the foot of the Montsant mountain range.

In 1997, three friends, a winemaker, a teacher and a priest, founded a small winery on the priest’s property in the emblematic hamlet of Escaladei, cradle of the Priorat.
They make wine from their own vineyards. These wines, recognised internationally, are a true reflection of the history and culture of this wine region.

Mas Blanc is an estate where three generations of wine growers from another wine-growing region of Catalonia have found an outlet for their skills by creating a new winery, thereby demonstrating their love of the land and a commitment to nature through their organic and biodynamic approach. Using the best technology and with a firm will to make good wines, in 2004 they at last managed to see the result of their labours.

This is a small family business, dedicated to the production and aging of quality wines. The winery produces around 15,000 bottles, selling primarily two brands, Pater and Élia. Another aim of the winery is to bring the culture of the region to a wider audience, together with the wine and the land that produced it.

The winery was founded in 1917 as part of the cooperative movement that began in the early twentieth century. There are three large buildings that were built over time due to expansion in the 1970s and 1990s. Most notable is the building where the wine goes through the process of carbonic maceration in horizontal rotating vats. There is also an olive oil mill.

Mas de les Vinyes is a family winery founded in 1999, but has a long tradition of growing vines and fruit trees. Visiting this winery is an intimate experience, very helpful for those who are interested in the way a small winery works, particularly in a winery that does not turn its back on the use of new technolgy in order to maintain the aim of achieving the best quality in its wines.
