Molí de l'oli de Margalef. Centre d’Interpretació de l’Oli

This is a centre designed to publicise the natural and cultural heritage of Montsant as well as fostering the culture of olive oil.

It is on two floors: on the upper floor, which is the entrance and reception area for visitors, users can see an olive washer in operation as well as a replica of a traditional kitchen. Here too a film is shown: “The fruits of the land”, which sets out to present the Montsant Nature Park and the economic activities that go on there. The ground floor has been restored to exhibit the equipment that was used there. Visitors can see the different stages in the process of producing olive oil using a self-guided route accompanied by a leaflet. Here you can see how the olives were crushed and pressed, decanted thorough tanks, stored in vats and weighed, as well as the supervisor's office, the custom of eating bread with oil and how the finished oil was transported.
